ibeo LUX: A new name in road safety. In full production from autumn 2008. Ibeo is ready to launch its latest laser scanner model - the ibeo LUX - designed to increase safety and comfort on our roads. The ibeo LUX is ready for the mass market and perfect for projects involving large volumes.
Thanks to new technological developments, Ibeo's established laser scanner performance with its unique weather capability is now available in compact at a very economical price.
The ibeo LUX delivers top-quality data of surrounding objects and the environment. It enables fast and simultaneous realisation of all front-end applications, such as ACC Stop&Go, Pedestrian Protection, ANB, PreCrash, Traffic Jam Assistant and Intersection Assistant.
This compact standalone box needs no additional integration case and, thanks to the in-built processing, no additional ECU. It is small and lightweight, allowing easier and perfect integration of the ibeo LUX into any car design. As a result, it also saves on space and money.
The LUX (German for Lynx) proved to be the perfect choice to name our new sensor. Its agility,
precision, and most of all, its visual capabilities create a unique blend that is best represented by the ibeo LUX.
Since March 1, 2007 Ibeo has been engaged and dedicated to taking responsibility for the future of this especially endangered animal, the lynx. Ibeo currently sponsors a project in Germany to reintroduce the lynx to the wilderness of Europe.
